WE NEED SPECIAL AUTHORS IN 2026 Online Scholars Social Media Historians Genealogy Hobbyists |
History didn’t disappear — it was scattered.
Across newspaper archives, microfilm, libraries, basements, and digital folders saved on phones, the record of Native Black American history still exists. The problem has never been a lack of evidence. The problem has been organization, preservation, and publication.
The Community Historian Society (CHS) was created to bring that work together.
This program exists for researchers, social media scholars, and community truth-keepers who are already locating historical documentation but lack a clear pathway to transform those findings into permanent, published records.
This is not opinion-based history.
This is documentation.
Through the Community Historian Society, contributors collaborate with Trace Thy Roots to organize, structure, and publish historically sourced material into professionally produced books—ensuring that what has already been found is no longer lost to algorithms, forgotten folders, or fragmented timelines.
The Community Historian Society is designed for Native Black Americans who are already engaging in historical research and documentation—whether formally or informally—and want their findings preserved beyond social media timelines.
This program is a fit for you if you are:
An independent or amateur researcher gathering historical records
A social media historian sharing documented findings
A genealogy enthusiast collecting newspapers, census records, or archives
A local historian preserving town, family, or regional history
A community truth-keeper organizing receipts others overlook

Who CHI Is Designed For:
You do NOT need academic credentials.
You do need consistency, documentation, and a commitment to accuracy.
If you’ve ever said:
“I have the articles and records, but don’t know what to do with them,”
“This history needs to be organized and preserved,”
“People need to see this in a permanent format,”
—this program was built with you in mind.
*Community Historian Society is intended for individuals who already demonstrate historical research publicly through social media or other platforms. Participation is by invitation or review.
This Program Is Not For:
Opinion-based content without sources
Modern commentary presented as historical fact
Debates disconnected from documentation
Trend-driven or viral-only content
